Open new Mahila Samman Saving Scheme account.

Salient features of the scheme are as elaborated below:

  1. Name of the Scheme:
    • MAHILA SAMMAN SAVINGS CERTIFICATE, 2023.
  2. Type of account:
    • Single holder type account may be opened from 01.04.2023 to 31.03.2025.
  3. Tenure/ Maturity:
    • 2 Years from the date of opening of account.
  4. Eligibility:
    • Woman for herself.
    • Guardian on behalf of minor girl.
    • No Senior Citizen or tax benefits.
  5. Interest:
    • 7.5% p.a.
    • Interest shall be compounded quarterly.
  6. Investment:
    • Minimum: 1000/- and in multiples of 100 subject to a maximum amount of Rs.2,00,000/-
    • Any number of accounts may be opened however, a gap of 3 months between the existing account and opening of new account to be maintained.
    • Only one investment in one account.
  7. Withdrawal:
    • The account holder shall be eligible to withdraw maximum up to 40 % of eligible balance only once after completion of one year from the date of opening of account but before the maturity of the account.
  8. Premature closure:
    • Premature closure permitted as per Scheme guidelines.
  9. Nomination:
    • Nomination is allowed for one or more individuals, but not exceeding four individuals.
